Short film The Famous explores the ups and downs of a relationship when a couple, both actors, are approaching their potential break into fame. Laura plays Katharine, opposite Jason Bowen playing Nate. The film is written and directed by Kenneth Wajda.

In the feature film The One Who Loves You, Laura plays Sandy, hairdresser to Gloria Bethune (played by Katharyn Grant), who has returned to her hometown after failed attempts at a singing career in New York. Directed by Katharyn Grant and written by Beaty Reynolds, "The One Who Loves You is set in the 1970's, with musical numbers, nuanced acting and writing, and tasty photography...inspired, in part, by Robert Altman's 'Nashville'...The One Who Loves You is the story of a man who is, for all appearances, one of society’s losers, and a woman whose inability to live according to convention is both her downfall and her saving grace." 

In the Season 3 Finale of In Plain Sight, Laura co-stars as Cynthia Curtin, a Literature Professor who seeks advice from bartender and friend, Gabe, played by Joe Spano. It stars Mary McCormack as Mary Shannon, a US Marshal working in the Federal Witness Protection Program. The episode is directed by Michael Morris.
